5 % GLUCOSE SOLUTION

1 Teaspoon white corn syrup (example: Karo)

Few grains table salt

Few grains salt substitute (must be type made with Potassium)

4 Tablespoons boiled water

We mix this into an eye-dropper bottle and have it ready during whelping. If a newborn is weak and not immediately nursing, a few drops of this on the tongue can do wonders in providing quick energy to the puppy.
